Dispute Module

When an IP Asset is registered permissionlessly on Story, such IP Asset could be in violation of existing IPs. There needs to be an action that can invalidate newly registered IP Assets that are infringing on existing IP Assets. Therefore, Story has a Dispute Module which allows users to raise and resolve disputes through arbitration. If a dispute on an IP Asset is successful, the IP Asset can be tagged infringement / plagiarism and subsequently be frozen and invalidated, disallowing any new derivatives on top and stopping any licensing fees & royalty generation.

Retaking Risks

When a dispute is initiated on an IP Asset, the rewards on the IP Asset stop distributing and staked $verioIP are disabled for withdrawal until the dispute is resolved.
